The laziest lasagna I ever made just came out of the oven. Would you believe me if I told you I made this with frozen ravioli?

That is the secret ingredient here. The star of the show. It is the greatest time-saving cooking hack of all time!

In fact, when I don’t feel like cooking, but I’ve got to get dinner done, this Lazy Lasagna recipe has become one of my go-to family meals. With just three ingredients, your taste buds will trick you into believing this dish is homemade.

It’s hard not to fall in love with it!

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 family-size bag of frozen cheese ravioli
  • 4 cups Italian cheese blend, shredded
  • 2 – 24 oz jars of marinara sauce 
  • fresh parsley, for garnish

How To Make Lazy Lasagna

Lazy Lasagna With Frozen Ravioli

1 – Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. In a 9×13 baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom. Add a layer of frozen ravioli on top of the sauce. Cover the ravioli layer with cheese. 

2 – Repeat layers with sauce, ravioli, and cheese as needed. End with a final layer of sauce and cheese. 

3 – Bake covered for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.

4 – Add fresh parsley for garnish. Slice and serve!

Eating, Storing, and Freezing Lazy Lasagna

Every time I make this Lazy Lasagna recipe, I serve it with a Caesar salad and garlic bread. You can store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. 

And in case you’re wondering, yes, this recipe is freezer-friendly too!

To make this Lazy Lasagna recipe in advance, you’ll want to assemble the ingredients in a 9×3 foil pan. Cover tightly with foil and store it in your freezer for up to 3 months. Then, pop it in the oven when you’re ready to bake it. 

I think making this meal ahead of time is a smart move because it’ll come in handy for days when your original dinner plans fall apart. No sense of going to a drive-thru if you’ve already got this Lazy Lasagna in your freezer!
