Two homecomings, one epic weekend 🥹🏈🪩

1-3. RJ went to his first homecoming dance and I was feeling all the feels.
4. The moment he secured himself a date. She said YES!! 🥹
5. 😭😭😭 I have no words
6. And they’re off 🥲 He asked me if he could go to the Haunted Hoochie afterwards and ride with his friends. Talk about a full-circle moment 😂 IYKYK
7. Warriors Homecoming game 🏈
8. The Minis pulled out an impressive win!!
9. Words cannot explain how proud of Josiah I am. He worked hard to become the starting quarterback and then also became captain of his team 🥰
10. The Juniors played hard, but fell short.
11. This season may be busy, but I hope I never forget to thank my children for this chapter of my life. I’m all in 🫶🏽

We put RJ through switching schools. Switching tea

We put RJ through switching schools. Switching teams. Switching coaches. Switching teachers. We basically pushed him completely out of his comfort zone right as he was about to start this Junior Year.

He was scared. We were scared.

There were many times I questioned if this was the right move. I wondered if we were making the right decision, but we had no choice but to trust God. We knew without a doubt that He was leading us here to @harvprepschool even when we didn’t know if RJ would touch the field or ever get the ball.

Then, at last Friday’s game against Lumen Chrisi, which also happened to be his birthday weekend, RJ’s number was finally called. And, BOY, did he have an answer!! 🥹

6 targets. 6 catches. I don’t even know for how many yards, but he showed up and showed OUT!!

There are truly no words to describe how proud I am of him. Because as a parent, to see him put in SO MUCH WORK both on and off the field is all I could ever ask for 😭

People say he’s too small or too late, but Proverbs 18:16 says your gift will make room for YOU. So keep working son because Slot Receiver was made for you!! #11 ❤️🏈 @hpwarriorfball
