Hey, friends!! I’ll be 39 weeks tomorrow and have been in full-blown nesting mode over here — cleaning, organizing, and getting everything ready. Today, I’m sharing what I’m packing in my hospital bag this time around.
I’m a fifth-time mom, but it’s been six years since my last baby. I nearly forgot about all the things I need to pack. But the last thing I want to do is overpack, so here’s what I’m bringing in my labor and delivery hospital bag.
Mommy’s Bag
Target Pajama Set. It’s nursing-friendly since it unbuttons with ease and it’s so comfy!
Walmart Nursing Bras. I love these bras because they’re affordable and big-boob friendly.
Shower Shoes. I don’t trust how clean those hospital showers are so I cannot recommend these enough! They’re great so that you won’t have to be barefoot.
Maternity Robe & Matching Swaddle Set. I never thought to pack a robe when I gave birth to my four boys and I was always so uncomfortable in those hospital gowns. I can’t tell you how excited I am to have found this matching mommy & me set! They’ll be perfect for hospital photos.
Going Home Outfit. I recommend wearing something you’ll feel comfortable in. I packed a pair of joggers with a t-shirt and extra socks.
Pink Polka Dot Hospital Gown. I plan to wear this while giving birth and then change afterwards into my maternity robe.
Pink Hospital Socks. I couldn’t have a pink hospital gown without also making sure to buy these pink non-slip socks!
Lanisoh Nipple Cream & Cooling Gel Pads. If you plan to breastfeed, your nipples will be extremely sore those first 48 hours, and then again as your milk comes in. Lanisoh is the only brand I trust for all my breastfeeding essentials, from nursing pads to milk storage bags, so I recommend packing some nipple cream and using it asap!
Boppy Nursing Pillow. It’s always a struggle trying to breastfeed with the hospital pillows, so I’m definitely bringing my own nursing pillow this time around.
Insulated Tumbler. The hospital will provide you with a huge water jug, but it won’t be insulated, so I’m bringing my 40 oz Stanley!
Toiletries. Including travel size bottles of toothpaste, toothbrush, mouth wash, body soap, lotion, contact lenses & solutions, and eyeglasses.
Hair & Beauty. Including makeup, makeup wipes, face wash, moisturizer, hair tools and supplies.

Baby’s Bag
Sleeper Gowns. I’m packing two sleeper gowns instead of onesies because they make it easy to access the diaper for all those frequent changes.
Hats and Bows. I’m bringing some accessories with me this time around because dressing your new baby is so fun!
Going Home Outfit. I suggest checking the weather constantly so you can select an outfit that is appropriate. Just be careful not to overdress your baby if you’ll be delivering in the winter like I am.
Pacifiers and Silicone Clips. All of my boys hated the hospital pacifiers so this time around, I’ll be bringing my own!
Fleece Baby Blanket. I’ll be using this in place of an infant coat to keep her warm for the car ride home!
Swaddle Set. These are perfect for your birth announcements photos!
Felt Letter Board. I’ll be using this to introduce our little girl’s name to the world! You could also buy a personalized birth announcement sign.
Car Seat. This is the one we have! I love it because the cushions are so soft and comfortable.
