For carrying us January through December, Thank you God!!

As someone who has struggled with people-pleasing As someone who has struggled with people-pleasing most of my life, I used to believe that protecting my peace was selfish.

But the more I grow in Christ, the more I realize: Protecting your peace isn’t selfish — it’s stewardship.

It’s choosing to honor the capacity God gave you instead of stretching yourself thin to meet everyone else’s expectations.

“But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” — Galatians 5:22–23

“Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.” — Galatians 5:25

I pray this week you listen when the Holy Spirit nudges you to slow down, step back, or say no.

You don’t have to perform for peace.
You can simply receive it.

Have a blessed week everyone. 🤍

Yesterday was the first time I didn’t pressure m Yesterday was the first time I didn’t pressure myself to host or show up everywhere. Instead, I chose what I actually had the capacity for: a slow, quiet Thanksgiving with the family I created.

I’ll admit, I was scared to do it. I just didn’t want to disappoint anyone. But the peace that came with that choice? Unmatched 🙌🏽🤍

It made me wonder how many times have I robbed myself of peace trying to keep “the peace”?

“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!” — Isaiah‬ ‭26‬:‭3‬

Here’s to choosing capacity over expectations and peace over pressure — even during the holidays.

I’ve got so much to be grateful for this year. I I’ve got so much to be grateful for this year. I’ve been stretched in ways I didn’t expect, but those moments taught me more about God’s peace, my capacity, and what truly matters.

So today, I’m grateful — not just for my family, the food, or the tradition…but for the growth, the grace, and the God who carried me through every season.

Happy Thanksgiving yall! 🧡🙏🏽

“I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.”

I’m a traditional girlie through and through, so I’m a traditional girlie through and through, so I never imagined saying “no” to hosting on my favorite holiday. But I’m slowly learning to choose what God is actually calling me to — not what other people’s expectations or guilt push me toward.

We weren’t designed to run ourselves into exhaustion. And honestly?

That’s what I’m looking forward to the most tomorrow…ending the night with peace, not burnout 😮‍💨🙌🏽🦃

I felt led to share this because the reality is, f I felt led to share this because the reality is, for a lot of people, the holidays are a tough time. If you’ve been feeling guilty for wanting to sit Thanksgiving out, you don’t need a dramatic excuse. You need a clean, respectful boundary that protects your peace without creating unnecessary conflict.

They may be disappointed, but disappointment is not disrespect. Time and time again, Jesus modeled for us that you can love your people and still have boundaries.

You don’t need to justify.
You do not need to over-explain.
You do not need to lie.
You do not need to defend.

So let your “yes” be yes, and your “no” be no. (Matthew 5:37)

The holiday season brings joy, but it also brings The holiday season brings joy, but it also brings noise, pressure, and expectations.

Before you say yes to all the things this season brings, ask yourself:

• Am I saying yes because I don’t want to disappoint someone?
• Do I actually have the time, energy, or finances for this?

God never designed us to carry everyone else’s expectations. You can love your family AND honor your capacity this season. Jesus did. (John 7:6)

The Car Seat & Stroller We Chose + Why

Shopping for newborn baby gear is exciting! But, there are so many car seat brands and stroller designs to choose from that it’s easy to become overwhelmed too. And if you don’t know what you need or looking for, you could very well end up regretting your purchase later.

At the beginning of our search, I knew we wanted a travel system that was:

  • Lightweight for daily use
  • Easy to fold + fit in the truck of our car
  • Stylish and versatile
  • Built to withstand practical wear and tear

And after doing lots of research and reading several reviews, we finally decided to purchase the Maxi-Cosi Zelia Luxe 5-in-1 Travel System!

We chose the color New Hope Black and I am obsessed with the vegan-leather trim. I also love that the stroller can grow with our child!

Here are the car seats and strollers that didn’t make the cut.

Graco & Evenflo Travel Systems

I literally almost purchased this Graco Modes Pramette 3-in-1 Travel System because of its affordable price, but I read too many reviews that made me question the quality of the Graco and Evenflo strollers. Many parents were complaining that the wheels were either falling off, breaking, or squeaking within the first few months.

Doona Car Seat & Stroller

I absolutely love the concept of this car seat that unfolds and becomes a stroller instantly. But, many parents say their babies got too big for it at around 9 months of age. And, for the price, that’s kind of a waste of money. Unless, of course, you’re a travel family. Then, by all means, make the investment!

Nuna PIPA Urbn Car Seat & MIXX Next Stroller

I’ve always wanted this Nuna travel system because it is first-class luxury and the crème de la crème! All of the safety and stylish features make it so worth the high price tag. But, I’m happy that my Maxi-Cosi Zelia Luxe looks just as stylish for way less!

I’ll come back and write a full review of our Maxi-Cosi travel system once we’ve had it for a while. So far, we’ve only taken it for a quick spin, but I can already tell I’m going to LOVE it!

It delivers a smooth ride, the wheels steer nicely, and the padding on both the stroller and car seat are so comfy and soft that our baby girl is going to feel like an absolute princess — I can’t wait!
