We put RJ through switching schools. Switching tea

We put RJ through switching schools. Switching teams. Switching coaches. Switching teachers. We basically pushed him completely out of his comfort zone right as he was about to start this Junior Year.

He was scared. We were scared.

There were many times I questioned if this was the right move. I wondered if we were making the right decision, but we had no choice but to trust God. We knew without a doubt that He was leading us here to @harvprepschool even when we didn’t know if RJ would touch the field or ever get the ball.

Then, at last Friday’s game against Lumen Chrisi, which also happened to be his birthday weekend, RJ’s number was finally called. And, BOY, did he have an answer!! 🥹

6 targets. 6 catches. I don’t even know for how many yards, but he showed up and showed OUT!!

There are truly no words to describe how proud I am of him. Because as a parent, to see him put in SO MUCH WORK both on and off the field is all I could ever ask for 😭

People say he’s too small or too late, but Proverbs 18:16 says your gift will make room for YOU. So keep working son because Slot Receiver was made for you!! #11 ❤️🏈 @hpwarriorfball
