Cheesy Pigs In A Blanket: Easy Game-Day Appetizer

Football season is here!!!!! If you know me, you know how much I LOVE football.

Today, I’m sharing a super easy game-day snack that’s sure to be a crowd pleaser whether you’re tailgating or entertaining at home (and I have picky eaters in my household so that’s saying a lot)!

If you’ve got about 10 minutes to spare, then you can whip this appetizer up before kickoff — you won’t miss anything.

You only need three convenient ingredients: Pillsbury Crescent Rolls, Lil’t Smokies, and Parmesan cheese.

How to Make Cheesy Pigs In A Blanket

First, melt about 4 tbsp of butter in a bowl and set aside. You’ll need to use it in a few.

Next, pop your can of crescents open, lay them all flat, and cut each “roll” down the middle.

This will create the perfect size blanket to wrap your little piggies (smoke sausages) in.

The third step is to roll your sausages inside the Pillsbury dough. It’s easier if you place the sausage at the wide end, and roll it down to the pointer end.

Once you’ve got all of your piggies in the blanket, grab your bowl of butter and brush some of that on each roll.

The last step is to sprinkle a little Parmesan cheese on top and place it in the oven at 375 for about 10 minutes!

You can garnish your Cheesy Pigs In The Blanket with dried or fresh parsley once they’re done if you’d like. I love doing this, it makes it look so yummy!

Serve with dipping sauce of your choice. We tried this with honey mustard and it was amazing.

Seriously, my entire family loved this. Including my father-in-law who is a chef, and that’s a big compliment!
